prominently in the documentary. Meet the performers who we spend the most time with.
Ceri-Lyn Humphreys who plays
Yum Yum is an aspiring Opera singer and actress. In the film she shares her emotional journey during the
auditions, rehearsals and the final production.
Michael Grady plays Ko Ko in
the Youth Mikado. An accomplished actor, Michael hopes to appear on the professional stage in the future. During
the film, Michael guides through an entire day of rehearsals.
Katie Lowe plays
Katisha. An aspiring opera singer, after bringing her friend Ceri to the auditions, Katie is a constant presence
during the documentary.
Mark Burns plays
the Lord High Pooh Bah in the Youth Mikado. Mark would like to adopt a career in musical theatre. In the
documentary Mark helps clarify the story of the Mikado as well as what it takes to perform on stage.
Bonita Burton
Blackmore who plays Peep Bo hopes to be a music teacher in the future. She acts as a guide through the auditions
during the film, having taken part in last years production.
Jay Simpson is in
the Male Chorus of the Youth Mikado. A native of Buxton, Jay takes us to the skate park and shares his thoughts
about the town and what it is like to appear in the chorus of the production.
