The popular youth production team puts on shows every year at the Buxton
International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival. Meet the people behind the Youth Production.
Director
Pamela Leighton Bilik has taken part in nearly every festival, where she focuses on teaching youths about theatre
and putting on a major production. Her goal is to teach and direct theatre in the UK.
Assistant Director
Rachael Hackett originally came to shadow the director, and gather information for her youth opera group back home.
When her talents and knowledge were revealed, Rachael became a much more active member of the crew.
Producers
Paul and Marsha Boymel began producing Ms. Bilik's productions years ago in the United States. They both love
working with young people, and hope to inspire a sense of accomplishment, confidence and direction in young peoples
lives.
Festival Director
Ian Smith, an avid Gilbert and Sullivan fan, set up the G&S Festival in Buxton England in 1994. One of his
main goals is to spark an interest in music and art in young people around the globe.
