The Documentary
Every year nearly two-thousand performers and twenty-thousand devotees arrive in the small English town of Buxton to attend the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival. Come meet the fascinating people who travel from around to world to sing, laugh and delight in the musical world of Gilbert and Sullivan!

"Oh Mad Delight" documents various performing groups as they stage productions and introduces a cross section of people who are mad about Gilbert and Sullivan.

Featuring interviews with an international Opera Singer, a well known stage director, the man who holds the distinction of having sung Gilbert and Sullivan farthest north and south, a couple who fell in love through Gilbert and Sullivan, a former prisoner of war who staged Gilbert and Sullivan Operas during World War Two, and a woman who is bringing Gilbert and Sullivan to a whole new generation.
The documentary covers the Festival Production of The Sorcerer, the Youth Production of The Mikado, the Savoynet Production of Pirates of Penzance and many festival fringe activities.
